Job Nature: Vaccination Nurse

Status: Casual

Start/End Date: ASAP

Salary: $32.00/hour for starting wage, unless you have travel vaccine experience

Locations: Fort St. Jonn, Prince George and Terrace, British Columbia

Duties and responsibilities:

In this role, you will be:

• Conducting travel health consultations to provide pre-travel medical risk assessment advice to prevent travel-acquired illness and disease.
• Providing holistic assessment for intended travelers to determine the need for further health advice and care from a medical physician.
• Making recommendations and administering appropriate immunizations and prescription medications.
• Administer other routine or seasonal vaccinations and TB skin tests.

The Following Qualifications are Essential:

• Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

The Ideal Candidate:

• BCCDC Immunization Certification or ability to successfully complete certification (this is a FREE online certificate that can be completed upon hire).
• BCCDC Tuberculosis Essential course and Tuberculosis Skin Testing course or ability to successfully complete certification (this is a FREE online certificate that can be completed upon hire).
• Public health nursing and/or travel medicine experience an asset, but not required. Will train on site.

• Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

• Proven track record to conduct relevant assessments.
• Tech savvy and knowledge of Mac computers an asset.

Job Nature: Medical Laboratory Assistant

Status: Casual

Start/End Date: ASAP

Salary: $20.00-$22.00/hour depending on experience

Locations: Penticton, British Columbia

We are currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our dedicated team. This position involves conducting on-site insurance health exams, including specimen collection and biometric measurements.

Duties and responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Scheduling appointments and managing clinic calendars
• Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
• Processing forms, requisitions, and clinic paperwork
• Supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks
• Ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment

The Following Qualifications are Essential:

• Office Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has a professional and compassionate demeanor
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Is able to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
• Works well both independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting is an asset
