Vaccine Administration

Do you already know what vaccines you need? Or does your destination require specific vaccines for entry?

Speak with a health expert to be clear about the health safety and entry requirements of your travel destination.

STEPS

  1. Book an appointment
  2. Get consultation (if needed)
  3. Get vaccine recommendations

Our Process

Before Vaccination:

Our professional nurses will explain to you the procedure of vaccines prior to vaccination. You will be asked to:

  • fill out an intake form including all your travel history.
  • and consent form that you understand all the reactions and you are consenting to get those vaccines

During Vaccination:

  • Be calm throughout vaccination. During the procedure, the nurse may ask you to lie down if you have trypanophobia.
  • Please notify the nurse if you have dizziness, irritation, or any other side effects.

After vaccination:

  • After receiving your vaccine(s), you will be required to remain in the clinic for 15 minutes in case you experience dizziness or an exceedingly uncommon allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis. This may cause hives, throat, lip, or tongue swelling, or difficulty breathing. It is possible to treat this reaction.
  • The most common side effects of vaccinations include pain, redness, and swelling at the site of administration. These are often moderate and last for half a day. Some immunizations can occasionally induce fever, aches, weariness, and headache.
  • Apply a cool washcloth or ice pack to the affected area for local tenderness, and if necessary, take Ibuprofen (Advil) or Acetaminophen (Tylenol) for pain and tenderness.
  • Call 911 if you experience any adverse effects after leaving our clinic. Please notify your health care physician or the Amani Travel Clinic of any unanticipated or severe reactions.

How do you keep the kids safe from infections on vacation?

When travelling overseas, children are more prone to get vaccine-preventable infections. They can avoid contracting preventable diseases by confirming their routine and non-routine vaccinations with a travel health expert.
