VACCINE ADMINISTRATION SERVICES IN VANCOUVER

Before Vaccination:

• You will be asked to fill out an intake and consent form to gather your travel destination and medical history so we can make a tailored healthcare plan specific to you.

During Vaccination:

• Our experienced nurses will conduct a travel consultation, if needed, to review current health advisories and provide guidance on recommended or required vaccines and medications for your destination.
• Our nurses will thoroughly explain the vaccination process, including any potential side effects and risks, prior to administration.
• Our nurses will guide you through the vaccination process, ensuring clear communication and providing support to help you remain calm, ensuring a comfortable and positive vaccination experience.

After Vaccination:

• After receiving your vaccines, you will be required to remain in the clinic for 15 minutes in case you experience dizziness or an exceedingly uncommon allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis. This may cause hives, throat, lip, or tongue swelling, or difficulty breathing. It is possible to treat this reaction.
• The most common side effects of vaccinations include pain, redness, and swelling at the site of administration. These are often moderate and last for half a day. Some immunizations can occasionally induce fever, aches, weariness, and headache.
• Apply a cool washcloth or ice pack to the affected area for local tenderness, and if necessary, take Ibuprofen (Advil) or Acetaminophen (Tylenol) for pain and tenderness.
• Call 911 if you experience any adverse effects after leaving our clinic. Please notify your health care physician and Amani Health Services of any unanticipated or severe reactions.
